Our Story
We pride ourselves on being a team of passionate small-town folks who understand the need for high quality, affordable rentals in rural communities, without losing that tight-knit community feel.
That’s why we design, build, and manage almost all of our properties ourselves. We believe you should only have to know one phone number—ours.
Our properties underscore our ongoing commitment to understanding and meeting the unique needs of renters in rural communities. That means designing spaces that reflect our community, and offering a variety of rentals to support you in every stage of life.
Our Team
Who We Are
General Manager
Andrew Cameron
Andrew started managing properties in 2010 in Yarmouth. In 2015 branched out to managing properties in Amherst, NS and now currently manage over 200 units. If you don’t find Andrew at the office, you will probably spot him at a playground with his daughter or out pounding the pavement walking his two dogs, Ellie and Luna.
Office Manager
Jennifer
Jennifer joined our team in August 2022. She is a long time Amherstonian . Her favorite thing is spending time with her family. When not at work she can usually be found paddling on the Tidnish River.
Manager, Finance & Admin
Williams
Williams started with Northumberland Properties in April 2025 as the Manager, Finance and Accounting in Amherst. Williams graduated from UPEI with his Bachelor certificate in 2018 and has work experience with Finance and Accounting. When he’s not working, he usually spends time with his family and friends.
Administrative Assistant
Tanya
Tanya joined our team as a Customer Service/Administrative Assistant in October 2018. She completed the Office Administration Course at NBCC Moncton and comes to us from across the marsh in Sackville. She enjoys going to the gym at lunch and spending time with her family.
Apartment Manager
Sonya
Sonya started with Northumberland Properties in the Spring of 2011. She started mowing lawns on a Monday and 3 days later broke her first window. She stepped up to the Superintendent position in 2015, and now focuses on more than just mowing, painting, cleaning and minor maintenance. When not at work she would like to be found in the woods, kayaking on a lake or spending time with family.
Property & Groundskeeper
Chad
Chad started with Northumberland Properties in April 2019 as the Property and Groundskeeper in Yarmouth. Chad graduated from NSCC with his plumbing certificate in 2016 and has worked in the plumbing and heating trade. When he’s not working he usually spends time with his girlfriend, son, dog, and family and friends.

Alan
Alan joined our team as a Property and Grounds Keeper in May 2019. He enjoys spending time with family. As well as hiking, camping and fishing.

Greg is one of our newest staff members who began working for Northumberland Properties in 2025 as one of our Property & Groundskeeping team.
Carpenter
Jazz
Jazz is one of our newest staff members who began working for Northumberland Properties in 2025 and is the first carpenter to join our team.
